Subject: ps Author: bamb [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 03:00:07 07/04/01 Wed In reply to: bamb 's message, "Re: ´d¼@¥H¥~" on 02:48:42 07/04/01 Wed ps: we simply do not have the rights to take the life of another person (as well as other sentient being -- but it is so hard to be a vegetarian, sigh).... but a lot of countries opt for capital punishment because they may prefer to be free from the financial burden of keeping those ppl in prisons, also, i was told that in china, they can sell the internal organs of those being executed -- what a huge profit!! i kind of see the point of the idea in the terrorist novel u read few years ago. but i really doubt 'yee boh yik boh' (ie using terror and violence against terror and violence) will truly work... like shakespear wrote in Macbeth, "Blood will be blood". trying to use violence to end violence is as effective as using gasoline to extinguish a fire, it might seem to work for the first few seconds (because of the sudden lack of oxgen when the gasoline is poured out), but very soon the fire will grow bigger!
