Zero sat looking out one of the windows of the shuttle, he was contemplating what Signa's had said to him and him alone before he left
*FLASHBACK*
S: Zero, come here for a moment would you?
Z: What is it?
S: Well its about Ryujin X.
Z: I'm listening...
S: Your orders and the orders of the hunters are to apprehend him for question back at this HQ. But..if he has in fact turned to our enemies...then I believe that you are the only one from the hunters moon contingent capable of defeating him...if he fails to co-operate, I want you to terminate him.
Z: What?
S: Zero, please try to understand, I know you have qualms about destroying another hunter who may not be a Maverick, and although you are not really that close to RX I know that you would not like to see him dead or fight him. But this is the situation, he is an unkown variable that MUST be accounted for. If he has betrayed us then he could be the one to turn the tides of the battle against us on the moon.
That is why he must either be captured or destroyed.
Z: I understand that, and I won't fail in my duties...but as I'm sure you know RX voluntarily quit the Hunters, so he could in fact be working with this enemy of his own free will. Plus the fact that if he is not working with them, perhaps he is there to stop them, and if that is the case do we really have the right to capture him?
S: I agree and have thought long and hard about this, but the risk is too dangerous, he must be accounted for. And you are the only available hunter for the Job. The only others with abilities to rival that of RX are all unavailable. X and the new hunter of increadible promise IO are leading the attack on Doppler, and Bladerunner is still missing. The last transmission we recieved from him was on Dopplers base, but intelligence reports that he was captured and has not bee heard from since.
Z: I know..and I won't fail in my mission..if RX is Maverick, consider him terminated.
S: I'm glad to see your confidence...but do not take him lightly, you forget that his abilities rival your own, he was an SA class hunter, and computer studies of his training sessions reveal that he has the most ferocious fighting ability of any reploid we have ever seen. Here are the computer reports, study them well.
Z: What are you saying? he is stronger than me?
S: No, not at all, but he does have the most ferocious fighting ability, he is absolutely ruthless when fighting, he does not hold back and has very little weaknesses. He tears his oponants apart mercylessly, often snapping off limbs in the process and beating his victims to death with them. In some rare cases he has even seemed to revel in the carnage he creates.
So, no I am not saying he is stronger than you and we have complete confidence in your abilities as a fighter and as a hunter, all I am saying is be careful and don't underestimate him.
Z: Understood, I'll study these reports carefully. What about design flaws or technical weaknesses?
S: Thats the thing...while at the HQ he blatantly refused to have any scans done on him or for anyone to examine him or his designs, the only thing he gave up was a sample of his DNA, very reluctantly I might add, he said "You can have it, it will be obsolete soon anyway" and then just stormed out...
Z: I see.
S: Ok, you had better embark on your mission, good luck.
Z: We won't need it. *Zero gave Signas a "thumbs up" as he left to embark on the shuttle mission.
Suddenly Zero's flashback was interupted by another hunter.
"Sir, we are approaching the moon base now, resistance is minimal at the moment"
Z: Good, be on your guard... (RX..can you really have gone Maverick?)
Zero thought to himself...
