(BR, good to have you back...don't change too much...most of it has been established already...)

Mega Man X: "We'll sweep wide left around the island. The major hot spot is around the other side. We'll enter in from the back side of the battle, and ambush them. View everything not wearing a Hunter insignia as a possible threat."

Narrator: When we last left X, and IO, they were coming in fast on Doppler's Island base. Doppler's forces were already engaged in a brutal melee with Wily's forces. (X and the Maverick Hunters did not know that it was Dr. Wily who was behind everything. Nor would they ever find out! That way it stays cannon!) In any case, Hunter HQ had identified the leader of the opposing faction as a pirate named Castendo. His motives were still unclear to the Hunters, so they were viewing everything as a threat.
