To refuse marriage to the sheikh of a powerful tribe, as hideous as he may be, may be considered cause for grave insult between your tribes. I would pity your father, as he will bear the brunt of the man's anger. Men such as he seldom take it well when their intended bride disappears the night before the wedding. Ah well, he'll just have to find himself another pretty face. You would do well to put yourself beyond your father's reach," he continued, stopping abruptly when he realized he was lecturing. With a laugh, he ammended his thought. "I would do well to heed my own advice. My sire probably has many plans for me, the least dire of which would be marriage. But then again, I wouldn't be just another pretty face to some unbearable man, I would be the unbearable man, undoubtably wed to some woman who would have rather not. I was married once," he mused, snapping from his reverie to look once again at the woman seated beside him. "What are your plans? Though there are already the requisite number of princesses to each kingdom, I am sure if you petition enough they might take another. Then your father would have no cause to call you home, as you would be royalty," he mused.
