Subject: DD offered $2 mill per ep to return.

Hi Guys,
This appeared in today's Sydney Telegraph. Thought you might be interested.

[START]

David Duchovny is said to have been offered the most lucrative acting contract in TV history to stay with the X-Files.

Producers are apparently willing to pay the actor $2 million per episode to keep him in his role of FBI agent Fox Mulder.

This would guarantee the actor $26 million for the eighth season of the X-Files.

"The money is on the table and it looks like David will take it," one X-Files insider said.

"It's just too good to turn down."
Duchovny's seven-year contract runs out after this series and he has already announced his decision to quit after legal battles with the show's producers over money.

But bosses are determaned to lure him back for one last series.

His co-star Gillian Anderson has already committed to an eighth series because of a clause in her contract.

X-Files creator Chris Carter has said he would be unwilling to film an eighth series unless both actors appeared in their roles.

Sources on the set claim it was he who persuaded bosses to make the huge offer to Duchovny.

[ END]

Well what do you think of that? I say he'll take it and we will get our 8th season. yay! Here's hoping. I've gone backwards and forwards wondering if i really want an 8th season but I think when it comes to the crunch, I do. I can't bear the thought of no more XF just yet. Fingers crossed that DD has some brains in his old noggin.
