Well, nic, yours is the answer I like the least, just because of the negative connotations, but it sounds like that's it. Yeah, must've been a bad day. Either that or he doesn't appreciate the finer arts of TXFs. If you think of it, it makes sense. Just because he stars in the show doesn't mean he's necessarily a fan of the show. Maybe working that close to it kind of ruins the aura. Like how it wouldn't be as fun to travel if it was your job.
However, that's not to say I'm fond of the idea of DD disrespecting his own show. My feeling is always, what does that say about us for liking it? Is it that he feels like he has more taste than we do? :-p ;-)
But, as I always find, even the most "potboiling" of XFs eps are better than nearly every other show. I'll certainly take an XFs potboiler over a other-crap-shows gem anyday!
