LOL! I wasn't really thinking X-rated, but R-rated (as opposed to the PG-13 rating of the first movie) might be nice. . .as long as the reason for the R-rating was some Mulder-and-Scully lovin', rather than really graphic, disgusting serial killer violence or something of that nature.
If the do another movie at all, I think it will definitely be with DD and GA rather than RP and AG. Mainly because I think almost everybody (not just shippers like me!) still thinks of Mulder and Scully as the "real" X-Files couple. Even though AG and RP are newer, I don't think they're any younger and they're certainly, IMHO, less exciting. (Does anybody know for sure on the age thing? RP actually looks *older* than DD to me, but DD is often described as being "boyishly handsome" some maybe RP is younger, but just doesn't look it. AG and GA look about the same age to me; we have to remember that GA -- unlike most actresses, where they have twentysomethings portraying TV teens -- is actually several years younger than the character she portrays. When XF began, Scully was suposed to be 29 and GA was only 24 when she filmed the pilot.)
I do think they really, really shot themselves in the foot with seasons eight and, especially, nine. They should have either ended the TV series completely after season seven (my first choice) or allowed the Mulder/Scully/William family to exit the TV series, intact, at the end of season eight and turned the TV show completely over to Doggett/Reyes, while saving Mulder/Scully for future XFmovies.
