Fanfic and official novelizations

I'm just wondering if they're ever going to do any more novels based on "The X-Files"? I always enjoyed these. They did about six of them, by three or four different authors. *IF* they do any more, I hope they set them sometime in the pre-Requiem timeline and just allow Mulder and Scully to go off and do their stuff!
I've noticed that most fanfic seems to have reverted to season seven. For a while, a lot of writers were making an effort to incorporate Mulder's abduction, Scully's pregnancy, Doggy's presence in the X-Files division, etc. into their stories. Now it seems like the majority of writers have decided "we're not really interested in all this" and just write stories with M&S going off to investigate something weird and often (at least in the ones *I* tend to read) ending up in bed together. Sometimes the stories are post-all things and the dynamic duo are already "partners" in more than one sense of the word, other times they seem to be set sometime earlier in season seven and give an alternative scenario for their "first time".
