I'm just wondering how many people at these boards, despite our obvious XF addiction, really *DO* want another XF movie??
My own feelings are ambivalent. If they'd ended XF as a TV series after season seven, or even after season eight, I'd be foaming at the mouth for another movie. But, IMHO, they screwed so much stuff up in season nine (particularly in regard to the events of the eps "William" and "Jump the Shark") that I'm not all that eager for another movie.
If they make one, I suppose I'll eventually go see it, or at least rent it once it comes out on video, but I really doubt I'd be going to the first showing on the day the movie premiered, like I did for "The X-Files Movie: Fight the Future". And if they never do make another XF movie, I think I'll be able to console myself with fan fiction, rather than worrying about the lack of a big screen sequel.
