I agree, duck that it is Mulder's baby. But I think both he and Scully have not been totally sure all this time. I think the moment when he realised that it definitely is his was when Lizzy said "You can only ever hope to produce that in a lab" or something like that. "A human baby with no human frailties" That's when he knew that 1. the aliens would be after it and 2. it was his. He knew it was his because HE is the same as the kid and that is why the aliens took him. And I think that is why he didn't become an alien like Billy Miles. I know that taking him off life support helped but I still don't think he would have succumed to the alien thingy in him. He is immune and so is his kid. That's why the aliens are scared of the baby or atleast interested in it.

I don't think they want to hurt it though. I get the feeling that Billy wasn't coming to hurt the baby but to take Scully away so that it is born safely. I think they are doing this for the same reason that Billy didn't kill Mulder. The aliens tend to be a sentimental bunch and they seem to greet their mates [ie Mulder and Scully] by affectionately throwing them against the wall. They don't kill them. Billy didn't kill Mulder and they ain't gonna kill the baby. They may want it but they won't kill it. Maybe after it is born they will just keep an eye on it or something.

I don't think Mulder wanted to tell Skinner the baby was his because at that point he and Scully still had doubts. He wouldn't want to go into that with Skinner and Skinner got the idea anyway. But there definitely is no doubt that Mulder COULD be the father. We were told that for sure in the beginning with Mulder's little monologue. "Is it the product of a union? " What union? There's only one of those and he just gave us the possibility. So there is no doubt at all that they have been lovers for quite a while. Or at least once. We also know now, thanks to Lizzy that it definitely isn't a lab rat. So that just leaves the God aspect and I think the only hand God had in it was that Scully somehow had an extra ovum hiding somewhere when they extracted them. I did hear a spoiler that the aliens were controlling her fertility but I don't know for sure. No doubt next week we will find out.

The thing now that will make me happy is that if it is made clear to us that Mulder is in fact the father next week and that Mulder and Scully are definitely together and will stay that way.

I think there could be a movie and DD has always said he would do it. GA would too I reckon. I can just see CC's scenario for the MSR in the next movie. It will be so cliched. It will start off where Mulder and Scully are estranged. Doggy and Sunshine will call them in to help with another alien invasion or something and that will get them talking again. That way CC will get away from showing us any kind of family/affection/love/ type of thing between them. I certainly hope he doesn't do that. I don't want to see them crawling over eachother but a little natural ordinary family scene just to let us know that things are ok would be good. DD said that he'd like a movie when the show has finished after people have gotten to miss it a bit and after he has gotten to miss Mulder a bit. BUt if they drag it on and on then everyone will be sick of it or they'll be screaming out for Mulder and Scully and they'll have to do a movie while the show is on.

I also heard rumours that the DD eps had lower ratings this year than the Scully, Doggett ones. Is that true? And if so...why? What is wrong with the fans? I don't believe this. I think it is Fox's propaganda for the new XF. Does anyone know the truth. I know it is outthere. :-)
