Hi, thanks for the article (albeit a little late, but new to this MB)

It sounds like CC has been taking some well-deserved good time off :)

btw - he was never 'separated' from his wife, but working on all the shows meant that he had little time to spare for family and loved ones, and as XF was drawing to the end he was quoted as saying that he was looking forward to spending more time doing just that ;)

Many years ago it was speculated that he and his wife had separated but he'd said that because of the long hours he worked, Dori had moved to be closer to her family and friends because it was better to be elsewhere 'and not see him' than it was to be alone at home 'and not see him'...CC also said that it was like 'dating' her all over again each time he managed to get out to see her ;)

Well, as for the next movie, I'm sure it'll be something he'll want to put equal effort into that he did for the series, so I don't mind waiting.

This 'Philosophical Investigation' project has been a long time in the making, and it will be a chance for CC & co. to ease into what will (hopefully) be the next venture -- into the realm of movie-making on an ongoing basis. It won't be like juggling tv with a feature, as it was with XF & FTF, so if it takes this project for CC & co. to sharpen their claws in preparation for XF2, then this should be good :)
