Subject: Re: CC interview. No spoilers if you read the TV Guide Online interview.
In reply to: Scullystar 's message, "CC talks about the possiable 9th season of The X-Files *Slight spoilers*" on 20:11:18 05/07/01 Mon

An interesting point about this interview is that the possibility of Mulder being the father is listed fourth, as an afterthought, actually. Does that tell us something, or not?

It was implied by the interviewer that CC was referring to TLG when he mentioned the 'three wise men', so that was when he threw out the other spoiler. But still we can't be sure. So is CC going with the religious theme again? The birth the 'center of the episode', the 'three wise men', the pregnancy- immaculate conception, Carter's 'so we've got something strange already' plus all the secrecy about the pregnancy this season? uh-oh.

Also, here is a little more on the 'infuriated' comment:
"TVGO: We finally get Mulder back and you pair him with... Doggett?? Mulder/Scully fans are rightfully infuriated!

Carter: I thought it was an interesting new dynamic. I mean, this is Episode 181 we've just finished filming. We had a chance to change the dynamic this year, and I thought there was another chance to increase the dynamic so that we could, in fact, reunite Mulder and Scully at the end of the show in an interesting way. So, I think infuriation is part of the fun with The X-Files, and certainly with the Mulder/Scully relationship."

I wish I could have seen or heard this interview to see if he was possibly joking about that last line.

Chantal
