I think this season is going to great.!!!!! Yes indeedy deedy dooo. I have no qualms about Dogsbottom over shadowing Mulder and neither should you. It ain't gunna happen. He will be a good guy but not in the sense that he will take Mulder's place, especially where Scully is concerned. I am interested to see Scully have a different relationship with a different man apart from Skinner, the LGM etc. I would think that Dogsbreath and her would have a similar if not lighter, relationship as she has with Skinner but only in the long run.

As for loving or hating the guy.....as someone said, noone has seen the poor bugger yet. I don't think anyone need feel threatened by him at all. And as for equating the feelings for Dogsdinner to Robert Patrick.....well we have all been here long enough to know that we all don't do that. We have always seperated DD from Mulder and GA from Scully etc etc. I don't think it even needs to be mentioned let alone discussed, nor is it necessary to suggest that people are melding actor and character into one. I'm actually excited to see how Fido works out. I have no feelings for him yet as I haven't seen him.

I actually think , as I said in another post, that the Mulderless eps will be very Mulder oriented and will serve to launch Mulder's new direction. CC said he was going to do that after the filming of the Biogenisis trilogy and I think CC is going to do Mulder justice. Even CC can separate the character from the actor. Mulder is still CC's baby and he isn't going to do anything to jeapardise that. Rex will make the show more interesting just as the other supporting characters have done. I hope and do not think he will be a baddy as that would be more of the same old thing. If we want to be suspicious of him, then suspect what effect his masculine wiles will have on our dear Dana. None I hope. So I don't think we should talk about loving or hating Woofett anymore until we have seen him. After all too many people are getting the wrong idea and misunderstanding the way some of us feel about him. Take me for instance. Every body thinks that I hate him just because I started all the horrible name calling. Well, the truth is....I just did it for something to do. Its that kind of a name that would take a real beating in the schoolyard and I just wanted to see how many different variations I could come up with. Quite detached from the character, really. There is no malice behind it at all just total indifference. If anything, the name calling is a kind of affectionate thing. Don't ask me to explain. It's an Australian thing. If he lived here he would probably be nicknamed Rex or Spot or something ruder.

So lets just wait and see how he goes. It is only three weeks or something isn't it? Don't worry , she'll be right mates.
