Thanks, Det, for explaining what I couldn't seem to. I felt the closeness between M and S compared to the other cops. I think that is what I meant when I talked about M and S interacting with normal cops and lots of them. I think I could sense that it was all the cops like a crowd, with M and S standing out. I liked seeing this and I think your explanation is why I liked seeing this. I just couldn't pin point it myself.

It did stand out that Scully was trying to protect them both with her comments. I also didn't realise that her camera ducking was due to the invasion into their little world. I sometimes have wondered if Scully is in it[MSR] as deep as Mulder but this certainly proved that she is. I just thought it was a woman thing not wanting to be on camera but now that you point it out,Det, she was not happy at having her little world with Mulder invaded. In fact she was very possessive of their privacy and barely spoke at all when the camera man was in the car with them. Alot of times in S7 I have noticed that Scully has wanted to blow off a few cases and get back to just being alone with Mulder. GBV was a classic for that. I felt she felt this way in X Cops too. That it was an inconvenience to her to be running around the town when she would rather be just hanging out with him, either in a working or non working capacity. I was wrong about her.

There was ship. It shows even in what would usually be deemed as normal circumstances. That is why I liked that they were in normal circumstances. This season has been called shippless but the relationship has been developing all along but it just isn't obvious. The signs are very subtle. And you saw them , Det. I knew you'd take that fence tumble some day. :-)
