I didn't really like this one much. One of my least favorites. I didn't really hate it but I wasn't thrilled and I was bored by it.
One thing that really bugged me was that I thought it was out of character for Scully to complain about being on a stake out. Mulde's usually the comlpainer and she does her job. Unless she thinks there's no x-file. She just seemed too grumpy here. The phone conversations between them were ok but they paled in comparison to great phone chats like the one in WOTC.

Interesting comments on the s/o scene, Stardoe. I hadn't thought about it that way. Mulder's line just kind of confused me. I'm sure you're right and even in the future M&S will have trouble explaining their strangely evolving relationship so that people will understand. I think when I watched this the first time though I was of the mind set that they were not invovlved. This ep is on again Sunday. Maybe I'll each it thids time with the idea that they are. :-)

I think a chimera is what ever that creature was. I know it's been explained somewhhere but I've forgotten what was said. I was puzzled too. I kep thinking about in the Redux eps when Scully talks about the chimera in the matrix.
