Well well well. I have gone back and forwards over and over in my mind ..... yes they did, no they didn't etc etc. Still I can't say yay or nay. The teaser was strange. It shows that yes she did wake up and get off the lounge and go into Mulder's room and they did the NP and she did get dressed in his bathroom the next morning. BUT!!!!!!! why did she not look so happy? Was it just a huge rush of relief that over took her and forced her to be unable to gather the strength to feel anything else? Or was she so exhausted from an all nighter that she was too weak to look happy? what was her problem? The words said 'yes at last I have chosen the right thing in my life' but the look didn't say that at all. Why was she sneaking out before Mulder woke up? This I can't understand. But for the record ,,,yes I think they did it. I can only assume that later on they talked about it. I don't think it was a one off as some seem to think. I'm sure they keep at it in future eps. I watched for signs in Brand X tonight. But even though I say they did it I still have lingering doubts.

Well Gilly did a marvellous job. I thought the slow mo was appropriate. The whole point of the show was to cement in Scully's mind that her life she has now is the right life and it is with the right person. Everything that happened led her to Mulder. The final straw i suppose was to meet up with Daniel again to cause her to see how much she has changed and for the better. She did not like him calling the healing ritual, crap.It was almost that she felt it as an attack on Mulder rather than on her choice of that form of medecine.

As for Colleen. She bugged me so much until I worked out on second viewing that she is the police detective in detoured. Colleen was nice. I liked her. I thought that it was appropriate she was a lesbian. It helped her to explain how she overcame the fear of what people thought of her. I think that is alot of Scully's problem....of why she won't allow herself to love Mulder...she is so afraid of what people think. See how paranoid she was in X Cops that she might look foolish because of Mulder's beliefs.I think Colleen helped Scully to see how petty it is to worry about things like that. She helped Scully to see what is important in her life and how to accept that, as she had done, in not worrying about what other's think.

"What I would have missed"-[what a great line]..... if Scully had stayed with Daniel and also what she would keep missing if she continues to care more about others' opinions than her feelings for the things that are important to her. I know the things to pay attention to happened in a fateful way but I can't help thinking that what CGB said to her about not allowing herself to love Mulder had something to do with setting the cogs moving as well. Colleen helped her to shake off the baggage and just take the plunge with Mulder. Well at least she's not missing out on sex now. :-)

The fight made me think of the desk business in Never Again. Once again Scully had the dirts and poor Mulder didn't know what was happening or how to deal with it. Big lack of communication there. Someone said that they thought Mulder was really organising the trip to England so he and Scully could have a little bit of vacation time. I agree. Only she was so busy being in a bad mood , she couldn't see the advantage in this little trip. Stupid woman. Anyway it all worked out. It proves that they need eachother for anything worthy to come of their life's doings. They belong together. I really loved in the last scene with Daniel where he put his hand up to her and she chose to hold it in a chaste manner rather than in the lovers finger twine which he intended. Strange also how Mulder always seemed to contact Scully immediately after one of the slow mo eps. The last one however was Maggie asking her to come to the hospital to see Daniel. But really this too was a contact with Mulder....the realisation by Scully that she belongs with him. Now for the big question. Was the last scene on the couch a slow mo ep? I think when the music began it all went slow mo. Was this a momentous happening? Was the falling asleep on his couch a fateful moment? If she hadn't fallen asleep they probably would have said goodnight and she would have gone home but falling asleep meant she stayed the night ....woke later and .....jumped Mulder's bones. This was such a lovely scene. Mulder has known for ages that Scully is the one for him but she hasn't known and this episode was the thing that made her realise.

As for the David Crosby line. I didn't really like it because I thought it was insensitive of Mulder to say something like that to a woman who can't have children. But I guess he was right. She can't have a baby and she isn't a lesbian.

I liked the scene with Scully in the hospital bed. Like saying that if she had stayed with Daniel or decides to stay with him now her life would be as dull as hell. She might as well be in a sick bed. Plus he was old but not that bad looking for an old guy.

Also what happened to the spoiler scene where Scully roams Mulder's office looking at all his stuff? I assume it was cut?

Well I loved this ep. Well done Gilly baby.
