HI all,
I had planned to rewatch this before I posted but I can't see it happening for a while so I'll say what i can remember. This is all based on the premise that Mulder and Scully slept together [had sex] in 'all things' and are still doing it.

I loved this ep. I was hysterical in the teaser. I laughed at the end and also giggled in the middle.

Firstly I can see how that producer guy got the idea for the Scully Skinner romance. In the beginning when Skinner sent Mulder and the porducer off to investigate he told Scully to stay at the office. At that the producer guy [pg]kind of "hh hummed". Then later when M asked S why Skineer wanted her and she said just paper work the PG kind of went "Hm hm hm." They looked at him funny. I don't think Skinner knew that this was going to be in the movie. By the look on his face when TL and GS were in the coffin he kind of gave Mulder the "It's ok, you wait and see, you'll like it" look. But then I don't think he looked that smug after TS said she was in love with Skinner. Maybe he didn't know Scully was going to be in love with him in the movie. Or maybe he did know and was really playing Mulder's violin. He did look pleased with the proceedings at the start. I also assume he gave PG all the info on them being together for 7 yrs. Maybe it was Skinner's way of letting them know that he know's they are on together [now] or that if they aren't , they should be. Maybe Skinner is sick of the pussy footing around too. Maybe Skinnner is a shipper. :-)

As for the bones dancing, the Scully visions, the ending dancing I can only deduce that this was a quirky thing put in there to show up the trivialisation theme. The tinsel fakery of TV and Hollywood etc. I don't know. I really will have to rewatch this ep some time.

I loved Mulder's comment about the dead going out and eating and dancing and making love. I wonder if he ever dreamed that 16 months later he and Scully would be doing just that in Hollywood.
I loved their looks in the cinema. Loved Mulder's head on her shoulder. He really was mortified at GS and TL 's first attempt of getting it on together. I guess it was really different to the real thing.I think Mulder thought it was sacreligous[sp]to their real feelings for eachother.
I think Scully was shocked and maybe embarrassed too but not for long. With that bureau credit card in her pocket I guess she only had one thing on her mind and however they were portrayed in the movie was so unimportant compared to the real stuff they were about to do.
I just think the whole ep was a big take off of TV and Movies in general. You don't know if what you are seeing is real. eg bones dancing, dead dancing, a dead guy who's alive, a dead guy who is Jesus. "You do know that there aren't really dead people out there Mulder. That this is a movie set?" Yes that was a great line. It's easy to get caught up in what isn't real. The line blurs with movies and TV. Mulder had trouble with that. Scully didn't. She was totally in reality but she was in possession of a 'reality check charm.' [The credit card:-)
I loved the show. I can't think of anything else to say. Hopefully after I have rewatched I might think of something else.
