I'm really more interested in "Mulder and Scully" than I am in the celebrities who bring them to life, but I just thought I'd ask if anybody knew what DD and GA will be doing during the filming hiatus? Are they starring in other movies? Just hanging out with their families and friends?
From what I've gathered in magazines, CC really wants to spend next summer (2001) filming a second "X-Files" movie, so that it can come out in the summer of 2002. I was really hoping they'd film the sequel *THIS* summer, so it could come out next summer, and I think they might have if the TV series had ended last week, but apparently GA and DD weren't willing to spend another two years of their lives doing *NOTHING* but XF stuff. (As they did while filming season four, then making the first movie, then filming season five, with only a couple of weeks off between each step in the process.) Most movie franchises (i.e. James Bond, Star Trek, etc.) try to have no more than four years between each movie.
So. . .if either of them wants to star in a non-XF movie, they'd need to do it either this summer or wait until after the next XF movie is done filming.
