Subject: UKers don't read. Big spoilers about Sein und Zeit

Hi , I was going to wait till I saw Closure on Wednesday before coming back here but I have lots to say and lots of questions about SUZ. I thought this would end up being too long if I waited for Closure. Plus I am having terrible withdrawals and I am reading ff after ff which can't be good so here I am. And I am putting my thoughts here because I can't go to the S7 or M and S boards for fear of seeing Requiem spoilers. So Uk ers you shouldn't read any further.

Firstly let me say what a great ep this was. The best so far I think this season and even last season. The ads for Closure look excellent too. This ep was really something. It was X Files....real X Files. I loved it. But I have questions though......

What is it with the visions the parents are having of their kids all beat up etc. Is there some other force at work or is it just a manifestation of their general fear for their children's safety?

Is it normal FBI practice to take bets on the outcome of cases?

I want to comment on DD's great acting. This ep stretched him a bit and I can understand why he wants meatier acting opportunities. He should be given more of this kind of thing. Maybe then he will win that elusive best actor GG or Emmy or which ever one he hasn't one yet. I can understand his frustration. The Mulder character is pretty bland most of the time. More situations that bring out another side of Mulder would alleviate some of DD's bordem.

I don't think M and S are sexually involved. I did after allthings but don't now. I can see CC saving the first big love scene for the movie. So don't expect anything to happen next season either. It would be good if DD came back for the first half of the season and then disappeared towards the end and then have the movie being about his return and the big love scene etc. Cc won't miss that ratings opportunity for the movie I don't think.

As for poor old Teena. I have never thought she was cold and uncaring as others have thought. I've never liked her much but I never disliked her. Shame they keep getting rid of the characters that can tell us the real truth. ie Fowley, Teena, Spender, WMM, Bill Mulder etc. What I don't understand is why did she burn the pictures? What good would that do? Are they a lie? Are Fox and Sammy not even her children? Are they alien children raised by the Mulders or what? The burning of the pictures tells me that she got rid of the last vestiges of a lie. What does it tell you?

Why didn't Mrs M wait till Fox came back or at least until he contacted her? Why did she not wait and tell him what she obviously wanted to tell him? Why didn't she write a note telling him? Or did she? Could she have left another type of message.

*I do realise that some of these questions could be answered after closure.*

I don't think Mulder believes Sammy was taken by aliens and hasn't for a long time. The way he said 'aliens took her' to Scully tells me that. He was almost mocking himself.

Just a tiny frivolous observation about the comparitive sizes of M and S. I couldn't help noticing as they walked away from the gaol cell of that other mother how tiny Scully is next to him.


What was the actor playing Mr La Pierre in before? I know him but just can't place him.

Skinnner needs to up his fitness regime. If he couldn't catch up to that guy with the beer gut then he is in serious trouble.

I think Mrs M as killed by *them* but not directly. If they can give Scully cancer then they can give Mrs M cancer. I wonder if Scully checked for a computer chip during the autopsy?

When Skinner knocks on Mulder's door after his rough night with Scully she does not walk out of his bedroom as others have thought. The bedroom door is clearly visible in the shot and she walks out from the lounge room. They probably spent the night on the couch. I loved her messy hair and cold demeanour [sp]

74- the significance of the number. Is that 74 kids or the year Sam was taken? She was 8 when taken and born in 66 so????...........[this may be answered in Closure. I guess I should have waited]

How did Scully know about Santa's Village? Had she visited as a kid when she lived in San Diego? She would have had to have known of it's existence in order for the sign to jog her memory.

And last of all I loved that unspoken communication at the end which made Scully look around and see all the graves.

Can't wait for Closure and God it is great not knowing what is happening in a show. I am so glad I am staying spoiler free for Requiem. Well trying at least. I am doing fairly well so far. [fingers crossed]And I am relatively spoiler free for most of the post Closure eps. I know nothing about Chimera and all things[well I know about the first and last scenes] so that is excitng. XF is so much more enjoyable being spoiler free. :-)
