It is all the rage here. Our team are the world champions I think. They are quite the celebrities here. Every girl child just about plays it on weekends. I am going to try hard not to let my child play it just on principle. I hate wasting weekends on sport. I prefer my kids to play sport on a week night just as I do. I like weekends to be family gettaway and get together times. But I guess as their friends start to play I will find my self ferrying carloads of screaming girls to netball games and rowdy boys to soccer. Totally against my principles. Although the girls play soccer and cricket and touch footy too. This is good because I may only have to drag myself to one venue instead of two or three. So far our sporting life extends only to Monday and Friday arvos and soon to be Wednesday nights when my son starts karate. Weekends are ours to enjoy as a family doing family things. I feel quite strongly about that.
Netball, is alot like soccer. The way it is set up. I guess it is the hand version of soccer. :-) We play other countries. Funny you have never heard of it. It is a good way to stay in shape...that would be so if I actually had a shape lol. I must find the rules and send them to you. I think we should start up a net ball comp here in shipperville. While the mayor's away , the rats will play. hee hee
Stardoe, declaring it sheriff's sporting picnic day tomorrow.
