JD rubs his face. "So you just left Bubba there alone with all those shrimp?" He shudders to think what Stardoe will do to the little green guy when she discovers this.

Clark slaps JD on the back so that JD flies halfway across the room. "I think it's kinda funny. Everyone will think Bubba ate KS. What a hoot! As if she'd allow that to happen."

KS smiles at him. "Exactly." She's out of her robe, her hair is combed, her blinding white tee shirt is tucked back into her cami's, just where it belongs. JD gets off the floor and finishes polishing her boots and hands them to her.

"They'll be here any minute to check on you," JD tells her. "What do you want us to tell them?"

KS leans back in her chair, balancing precariously on the two back legs. "Hmm. If Kande's sobbing, I think you should threaten to sue, after all, Bubba is her employee."

"And if she's not?" Clark is sceptical. He's new in town, so he hasn't observed the sisters' relationship over time. He thinks Kande isn't very fond of her sis, although he'd be wrong. In actuality, she worships the ground KS walks on.

KS grins at him. He sits back, frightened. He's never been so scared of anyone, not even all of the super-villains he knows.

"Then we make them sorry."
