it is becoming obvious that it just won't make it to the highway in time to stop the bus. As the heroic trio stare in disbelief at the horrible black cloud of exhaust from the aging bus, KM finally had to stop.

Coughing and sputtering, Rabid's and KM's shoulders sagged as they tried to think of something to say or do. KS smiled deviously and said "Let them go. I put a tracker under the bus when they were all inside. There is a second one under the hood which should act as a decoy--just in case they look."

Rabid and the Mayor looked at each other and shrugged their shoulders before turning to KS. "So how will we follow them?" they asked her.

"Let's go back to Shipperville and call a meeting. We need a good plan!" said Rabid, thinking of some of those great mystery books she just finished reading. "I'll bet Stardoe, Detoured, Kande and CW might be willing to help." There are others that might help too!
