Subject: A new MSR theory

I was watching a movie the other night ("Enigma"; review on the OT board) and fairly early on in the movie a man and a woman were trying to figure out a mystery by doing a bit of snooping were being followed by the police, Even though they weren't romantically involved at that part of the movie (eventually they did begin to have a more than platonic/professional interest in each other) they pulled into an abadonded barn and started making out so that, when the police found them, they had an "understandable" reason for being furtive about their actions.
It seems to me that Mulder and Scully could have used this ruse during one of the times -- most notably early in season two -- when they weren't supposed to be working together. They could have met to discuss aliens, conspiracies, etc. and if anybody spotted them they could have started smooching. The idea that they *might* have developed a sexual attraction to each other during the first year they worked together couldn't possibly be all that unbelieveable to whoever was watching them. . .they're both very attractive people.
