"Bubba, hurry up," snaps KS. In response, Bubba points to the window. Everyone in the klub rushes over to see what he's pointing at.

"Is that Detoured?" asks Rabid. She refers to a figure rolling around in the snow. "What is she doing?"

"He," corrects KS. "Remember? I made Detoured a 'he' in my book."

"Whatever. What is he or she doing?"

"That's what I'm going to find out." Kenamom stomps to the door, opens it and yells, "What are you doing, Det?"

"I'm ok!" comes the muffled response. "My superhero cape got caught in the zipper of my snowsuit."

"Oh, for the love of...will you get in here? We're about to open presents." Kenamom shakes the snow from her perfectly coiffed hair and goes back into the klub.

Inside, Bubba has donned a Santa's hat and is passing out presents to everyone. A huge pile sits in front of the mayor's chair. Most everyone else has three or four gifts. Kande has one. And it's small. And soft. And from her sister.

"Don't tell me," kande remarks snidely. "Socks?"
