that was a pretty cute line. I actually thought Scully's behavior throughout that whole episode was basically saying "Take me, Mulder, I'm yours!" and he was just too busy chasing monsters to notice!
First she came into his motel room with a bottle of wine and a couple of glasses and started making all kinds of jokes (wink! wink! nudge! nudge!) about how by drinking in a motel room together they were in violation of FBI rules. . .and she looked very disappointed when she realized he *REALLY* wanted to go off and hunt monsters, as she had agree to bailing on the other agents because she assumed Mulder just wanted the two of them not to have to go to the conference.
Then she made the "raining sleeping bags" joke and pulled his head down into her lap when she wanted him to sleep. Then at the end she was in his motel room, packing up his clothes for him, which isn't exactly "romantic" but certainly indicates she feels their relationship is a fairly intimate one. . .you don't generally volunteer to handle somebody else's dirty laundry unless the two of you are close!
