"We'll make sure Kande's S.O. paints the entire house, does the windows, and scrubs the floor," KS says loudly as the Mayor leaves for her daily workout.

"S.O. will never go along with it!" Kande gasps in dismay as KS reopens the map and makes a couple of x's with a red marker.

"Don't worry, I've got a plan that will make everyone happy." KS smirks and then frowns. "Everyone except those who don't like a government run by an assassin. And a Klub owner," she adds hastily as Kande picks up a steak knife.

"So the invasion is still on, right?" Kande attempts to refold the map, stops, smooths it out, attempts it again, gives up in disgust and crumples it into a ball and tosses it in her knapsack.

"Of course it's still on!" KS gives her sister a look of exasperation. Really, how many times must she go over this? Vancouver...er, Mayorville is the perfect town for her to practice her blossoming dictorial traits. And buy some French cheese.

Kande still looks worried. "You know, just head North isn't the best set of directions. You do know which way is North, don't you?"

KS ignores her. Of course she knows which way is North. She glances in one corner of the Klub. It's that way, isn't it? She hides her confusion from her sister. Maybe she'll put S.O. in charge of the directions.
