While it never happened to me personally with any of my three children, I have had *several* friends who told me they were aware of burgeoning new life at the very instant they conceived each of their children. They said they "just knew" they had gotten pregnant at that moment.
Obviously, this is not the kind of thing that can be proven or disproven, but isn't that what the X-Files is all about?? Personally, I can accept a woman "knowing" she has conceived several weeks before even the most sensitive pregnancy tests can detect it a lot easier than I can accept all the vampires/aliens/psychics, etc. running around on XF.
And maybe that *is* why she was looking so moody at the end of "all things". Maybe she was thinking. . "Okay, Mulder loves me and wants to express that love sexually. But he was also under the impression that we couldn't conceive a child while doing the Naked Pretzel. How is he going to react to the news that he's going to be a Daddy?"
