Subject: Real life X-Files Help needed!

Hye everyone,
ALright, here's the deal. For my honors courses this semester we are doing a research paper. My topic is "Pop Culture ANd THe Occult relationship due to the debue and life of The X-Files." SO here's what I need from the lot of you, TXF genisus that you are: A few good sources of documentation around the time TXF debued and hit pop and occult fame, an answer to why TXF was such an occult hit, and more info on the correlation between the two.
