...the X-Files could very well be taken as Scully's journey toward a greater understanding of "THE TRUTH" and therefore could still have a valid point to make about something. Hmmm! I will give that some thought as I consider the merit of the Season Finale.

And I mentioned above that I don't blame any of you for continuing to watch the show...I assume you are still getting something out of it. But there IS a reason so many people have abandoned it, and what I was objecting to in my above post was Melissa's assertation that the reason people STOPPED watching was because they didn't like the UST going all U at the end.

As I said...I stopped watching simply because the show had been so unfulfilling for me from a character and storyline angle for SO VERY, VERY LONG. Season seven was bad, in my opinion, and Season eight was worse, the Premiere of Season Nine offered me even more of the same old thing(now...did the episodes SUDDENLY become provocative and meaningful again when I stopped watching...maybe...I can't say). All I can, say is that I don't believe they have improved enough to be worth an hour of my time on Sunday night. That doesn't mean I think you are WRONG to continue watching...but I know I wasn't WRONG to stop.
