"Uh oh," thinks Kande, desperately trying to snag the kitten off the couch while backing away before KS looks up.

KS lets out a strangled sob, wipes her nose with the back of her hand and pushing her straggling locks from her face as she looks up and locks eyes with Kande. Kande's eyes begin to shift from side to side.

"What're you looking at?" KS snarls at her.

"Um...nothing," Kande gulps. "I, uh, I like what you did with the room."

KS roars and tears a phone book in half. The kitten jumps back into Kande's sleeve while secretly admiring the brute strength of this new earthling. KS swiftly descends on Kande.

"Have you seen JD?" she asks while towering over the cowering Kande.

"I didn't freeze anything!" Kande shrieks out, covering her ears.

"Who said anything about freezing anything?" KS backs off, puzzled. "I think you should have your hearing checked again."

"Whut?!" Kande yells, cupping both ears and continuing to back away from her sister.

"That's odd," KS mumbles to herself. "KM turned white when I mentioned freezing JD's assets, and now Kande is talking about freezing. Maybe the weather's about to change. People get weird when the barometric pressure drops."
