has spent 8+ years with this hunky guy, saved his butt, he's saved hers, went through all sorts of good times and bad (for both of them), they lose the other for a while and have had to deal with the FBI shutting them down, trying to split them up, have a baby together, all while she has asked him repeatedly why he can't just "settle" like regular folks, etc., etc., etc. (stopping to take a breath after this long run-on sentence), I cannot blame her. I think it is something in her character that has to happen as he is now away from her where she cannot protect him or be with him or have him protect her and William.

I thnk that her behavior is setting up the ending. (Which I suppose has to happen but I don't have to be happy about it either.)

I think that the XFiles could continue with Reyes and Doggett but I also get the feeling that CC is tired of it. I wish someone else could keep it going!
