I agree and think that Mulder and Scully have a strong enough *platonic* bond that her behavior is fitting. I think. Could it be that the two of them have become so intertwined that they no longer feel they are separtate people but have become one? Sao if half of yourself is missing, yeah that would be weird. Maybe that's the x-file right there. If one dies will they other die too?
I also agree that it seems weird to hear her confessing her feelings so openly to Doggett. Skinner I can see because I think he's used to it and knows what's really going on.
I think Spotsy was more gung ho about continuing the series with CC kind of in the background. If the ratings had been better I'm sure it would have gone on.
