On January 12, it will be the 40th anniversary of my first hospitalization for mental illness, which I have talked about openly here for some time. I apologize for projecting my reality onto Brian and The Rolling Stones. No matter what, there will always be a soft spot in my heart for Brian Jones for all he has meant to me since 40 years ago when I saw a picture and a story on the wall of a College friends Dorm room that was dated June 6, 1971 about a 4,000 year old Rock and Roll Band that was written by Timothy Leary..The Photo was from the back cover of The Pipes of Pan at Joujouka..I had danced and sang on stage at a theatre in Manhattan to Rolling Stones music on June 6, 1971,hence,the connection..People Connected me with The Stones since I was 17,which was how old I was when I did this show, which was completely unexpected and spontaneous with the theatre owner's permission..I got a standing ovation from a packed house..That was my introduction to Show Business. At my Prep School graduation a week or so later I stood up to acknowledge receiving an award and someone in the audience yelled out "You wouldnt want my trousers to fall down now, would ya?" It was a friend of mine who was the first person to teach me about the Stones and allowed me to Play His Gibson Firebird. So all I can say, is Im fine now, after much pain and suffering and I feel I can finally lay the issue of mental illness to rest and all I want to do now is grow my hair long again, and make the best music I can for the rest of my life..If you are curious about me, you can find my work at www.myspace.com/spankareel and see what I really look like..and I STILL think Brian was one of the most elegant fascinating people I have ever seen, along with many others so I will wish you all best of Health and I hope you all get not only what you need, but what you want. Love and Peace, B-
