I'm glad I'm not alone here in my optimism about this book! This quote from the description really grabbed me:

Some of the details of how Jones was dethroned are well known, but the full story of his downfall is still largely untold.

Whoa...the author has my attention here! I want to hear stuff that is largely untold, preferably the full story...at last! I'm thinking this author is going to make an attempt to seriously cut through some major whitewash here. It seems like he may have some good reference sources (120 new interviews, none with Brian's ghost) although he hasn't named any names in the description above. Perhaps as the release date gets closer, maybe he'll disclose this info. Paul Trynka has two books out on Bowie and Iggy and a quick glance at the reviews on Amazon of both books are very favorable.

We've all been let down by Brian books in the past but I'm giving Paul the benefit of the doubt on this one....for now! I have a good feeling about this book.
