Subject: Carrington Vilmont

HUH??

Many of you may not know that name. But Mr. Vilmont recently portrayed the role of 'Ernst' in the now-canceled HBO series "Vinyl". Ernst was supposedly based on Austrian photographer Ernst Haas, who was known to hang with Andy Warhol in the '60s. But.......... WHY was Ernst made up to look EXACTLY LIKE BRIAN JONES....who of course was ALSO friends with Warhol at this time. Of course, Brian, er, ahhh, I mean.. ERNST.. was killed off early on in the series. Was executive producer Mick Jagger trying to exorcise some long held demons here?

I would really like some input from my fellow Brian-fans.

BTW If you haven't seen the series, Google Carrington Vilmont/Vinyl and you'll see the spitting image of a young, leather-jacket clad Brian - MUCH more so than that guy with the big nose who played Brian in 'Stoned'

I was absolutely fascinated when I saw it, and Mr. Vilmont even affected some of Brian's unique mannerisms and speech. Obviously, not a coincidence- but I'm puzzled as to what was going on here. Thoughts, anyone?.
