I read somewhere that not only had Ron Wood met Brian Jones, he'd even recorded something that Brian was supposed to play, but couldn't because of his drug addictions. When you stop and think of Ronnie's own drug addictions, I'm prone to take that bit of "information" with a grain from Delilah's salt shaker!

I have nothing against Ron Wood at all...I think he's an exemplary hard-rock guitarist. However, his claim to artisanship is tenuous at best. His biggest contribution to the band over the years seems to have been capitulation. Ron's held on because he doesn't "rock the boat" on the great ship Rolling Stone. He yields completely to Mick Jagger. Maybe he's more agressive with Keith Richards, but that one's no "artist" either.

I read of Mick stating that he fully supports Ron in his battle with drugs. Isn't that sweet of him? He sure never gave any support to Brian Jones in HIS battle with drugs. If anything, Mick made Brian deal with it alone, giving him no support at all.
