This site should, and would, and WILL go on as long as we all want to discuss and learn about Brian Jones. :) It's a great site, and I'm so glad that you, OS, have chosen to join us here and share with us, what you can, about Brian. :):)

I have never personally held Mick or Keith responsible for Brian's behavior in the band. Yes, of course, they could have cared more when he was hurting, have advised that he get counselling for any drug or drink abuses they saw, etc. But, we have to remember....it was a crazy time! OS has said that quite a few times. Plus, even those these guys became "worldly" at a young age, they were still basically not much more than kids with fame and power thrust upon them in a very short period of time. They were all just feeling their way, and learning to deal with, the pressures that came from fame. They were all YOUNG. I do think that Keith and Brian were close a few times in the early-mid 60's. I think that, secretly, Mick liked Brian and probably envied his superb musicianship. As the years have gone by, Mick just doesn't say much {after all, there was also a lot of competition between him and Brian!}, and Keith has turned his guilt/grief, or whatever he felt at the time of Brian's death into scorn and hate. It's a shame, but I guess nothing can be done about that.
