You bring up some interesting points. Ive never met Johnny of course, but I can see similarities in watching Johnnys interviews to Brian. Both men choose their words carefully and speak softly and have a tendency to cover their mouths when they laugh. They also both have a sort of bemused quality, as though they think the interviewer is an idiot. And Johnny had a wild past and is also a talented guitarist who initially wanted to be in a band. Ive often seen comparisons between the two and wondered what Depp is like in his private life, which he keeps very private. Brian was growing towards that privacy in his last year. One thing that strikes me is they both have a similar facial expression. Im a huge fan of Johnny Depp and his work, and while I dont really see Keith in Capn Jack, I see more of Brian, I will believe he used Keith somehow as an inspiration, but only in the essence that Keith may well have picked up some of Brians mannerisms unconsciously. I also believe Brian would have slid well into acting and might have become extremely good at it. He was just that multi talented.
