One more safety tip from Micah:

be extremely careful when you read books, because improper use of them can lead to serious damage to both you and the book. Several years ago I was intently reading one of my favorite books and I was eager to get to the next page. I was leaning close to the book because the lighting in the room was poor. As i turned the page i gave myself a papercut in my EYE. no joke. ouch, yes it hurt. but i didn't need to go to the doctor's office or anything, since my dad had a pair if pliers and scissors handy. he pulled out my eye and clipped the connecting tissue from it, so now i have a glass eye in place of that one. I kept my left eye in a glass of fermaldahyde. It looks at me.

I didn't really cut out my eye, but i did give it a papercut, and it felt like i had dirt in my eye. not anything bad, just really annoying. So be careful as you turn the pages of your books.
