What she'd had with Aiden had been special, deeper than any relationship she had been in before and that was what made it so hard to get over, at least, that's what she'd told herself. She'd tried to stay busy over the summer when he left, right after school, by going to Hawaii and spending time with her family and old friends. The school year had accomplished her getting her masters done and being hired on as an actual professor at the university. She was twenty four years old and at the top of her game, one of the youngest professors at the school. Of course, she still had lots to do before she started teaching the more upper level classes. It had been explained to her that she would get many of the 1010 classes while Professor McKay would get the 1200 level classes. It would make it easier on him and give her a good starting ground, they assured her. She had just nodded and accepted that, happy to have any place to start out at all. So here she was, just a few days before school started, getting all the last minute things together. As usual, she was kind of a bustle of activity. Organization was not her strong suit after this past grueling year of her masters and it showed with the large brown purse/bag over her shoulder, papers sticking out everywhich way. Her hair was long and wavy, blonder than before thanks to the summer creating highlights for her and barely held back by her oversized sunglasses that were perched on top of her head. She was clad in a white beater style tank top, flip flops, and low slung khaki shorts, showing off her long tan legs. She had gotten back from Hawaii two weeks before and was still scrambling to make sure she was prepared for her first year of teaching. She'd forgotten a binder in the lounge the day before, Tommy had been showing her different tips and techniques, and she needed it to review some things, which was what had her breezing into the office with a distracted - though brillant - smile on her tanned face, barely glancing at who was in there. "I do not know how you people can just be hangin' out when classes start in three days!" She exclaimed in shock, after quickly turning her back on them and bending down to look under the couch, much to the appreciation of the older male professor who sent a 'damn' kinda look to Aiden in universal 'man talk' kinda way. "Have you seen a bright pink binder? It's kind hard to miss." She stood back up then, tossing her hair over her shoulder as she glanced back to the people at the table, her eyes suddenly passing over Aiden and then going back quickly, widening a touch.
