He had stopped cold in the middle of the story when she had bustled through the doors in a flurry of activity, but his faltering wasn't too noticed - she had everyone's attention for the moment and so he took full advantage of the minute with attention off of him to regain some semblance of composure. He knew that he always ran the risk of running into her by coming to the school, but it wasn't like he didn't want to see her - quite the opposite, but he just had no idea how it would be... And he had hoped to bump into her in an abandoned room or hall or on a quite pathway, or he had planned to stop by her office. He hadn't planned on being ambushed. Luckily, one of the women spoke up following her exclamation - buying him yet another moment or two. "It's story time, love, and you're missing out!" She tutted in a laid-back manner - clearly having been lecturing more than long enough to not get flustered around the start of a new semester, and besides, the ladies all loved listening to their young, charismatic colleague regale them with tales of his adventures much in the same manner that the older men didn't mind when Keila dressed casually in shorts and a tank top. It was a bit of a meat market, but he didn't care in the least. A hand moved instinctively, a nervous habit, to the pocket of his jeans where he kept his packet of cigarettes - he had quit in recent years but picked up again sometime in his travels - though he realized what he was doing from he dug in for a smoke, and settled for running a hand over his head before standing slowly. "By the coffee maker in the kitchen..."
