Go on and close the curtains

You and me and a bottle of wine
Boing to hold you tonight

He, as she suspected, hadn't said that just in an attempt to get back in her bed - he had said it because he wanted to just it over with, not that he wanted to get over things because that wasn't really what he wanted at all, but because he didn't want to spend the next two months tip-toeing around the fact that yes, they had had sex. Many times. And they had been in a serious relationship. He waited patiently for her to sort out her thoughts and respond - which was a little amusing given that she was typically the one to blurt things out and he would take the longer, logical route - and then nodded a little in response. She was apparently still avoiding the 'unmentionable' but hadn't gotten mad at him and didn't seem too upset, so he figured that was a bit of a step forward. "Sure." His shoulders raised a bit in a shrug before he just broke another smile and fell into step with her on their way to the parking lot. He was used to her being exasperated by him. "I don't even have a car anymore... I'm renting till I get a chance to go shopping. Isn't that sad?"
