For a moment she stumbled in her thoughts, having not expected that reply in the least. Her lower lip tucked between her teeth, showing her hesitancy to respond to that statement. She had just expected him to agree that yeah, they had been friends and then she would have been able to go along with them being friends again and it would have been perfectly reasonable. However, he had to throw in being lovers into that. Her brow furrowed, wondering if maybe he had just gone awhile without getting laid but she quickly pushed that thought aside. She knew Aiden, really, deep down knew him and she was positive he wasn't like that in the least. He wouldn't use her for sex just because she was familiar and accessiable. Still, she was standing there like an idiot, gaping at him, and she really did need to come up with something to say. She paused for just a moment, leaning down to fix Nani's leash where it had gotten tangled around her front legs before she raised her head again, seemingly having gotten her reaction under control since she nodded firmly. "Well good. I'm glad you think were good friends." She stated, turning to start walking towards the parking lot where the faculty always parked. "Then we'll have no problem being friends again and this won't be awkward at all." That's what she had been planning on saying before he went and brought up lovers and she went ahead and said it anyways despite the fact that it was now a blatant lie. His unexpected response had made her feel all sorts of awkward for a moment, though now she was getting over it and willing to look past it. She just couldn't let him get back inside her heart. They could be friends, they could even hang out occasionally maybe, because Nani really did adore him, but she would not fall back in love with the man. No way.
