He laughed softly and raised his shoulders in a slight shrug - ironically, it was typically he who was rarely late places while she was perpetually so, yet it was also he who wasn't too bothered by the idea of tardiness, whereas she seemed so disturbed by it. Of course, she was still so new to teaching and he had a few years experience on her, so that probably had something to do with things. Plus, he was a much more laid back person than was her nature. "Well maybe we should stay at your house next time then..." He teased her right back and then frowned briefly, a touch apologetically. "Sorry, I didn't mean... Not that I don't want..." He backpedaled uselessly, realizing too late how bad it sounded that he would insinuate that there would be a next time, but then that he apologized so profusely that he was afraid she would get the wrong idea of whether or not he wanted there to be a next - which he of course definitely did. By the time he got to the end of his thinking, he was confused and unsure and just hoping that she was in good enough of a mood she would just let the slip go. At her response to him taking out the puppy, he smiled in relief and nodded a bit, touching her opposite cheek tenderly when she kissed his. "No problem, sweetie... I'll run out this afternoon. After lunch maybe? I was thinking we can grab something when you get your break? I can even order something and run out to pick it up while you're in class... Beats the caf' food." Unconsciously, a hand had shifted to rest at the back of her neck as they strolled the hall towards her class. "I'm going to try and catch Bosch this morning. She's been after me to come in for a 'visit' ever since I got back. Then I was going to stop by one or two of my classes to see how Alexis is doing... Spoke to her the day before yesterday, but otherwise I've been pretty neglectful. That's pretty much all I've got planned."
