Typically, it wasn't that unusual for him to be at the school even on a day that he didn't have a class, though it was pretty uncommon for him to be there early, at the very beginning of the day (more likely he would roll in around lunch time), and dressed as a professional (most of the time no teaching equaled casual attire of jeans and a tee). However, he had a companion who needed to be in class and he had had the energy and the drive that morning to get a little more dressed up, so rather than devoted his energy to working on preparations, he was more planning to stop in to his own classes which were being manned by his TA until he officially started back at work at the end of the week, and then he thought he would finally stop by the dean's office to meet with her like she had been begging him to ever since he got back. She seemed to think she needed a play-by-play of his sabbatical and an update on his life and thought that he should get a summary of what had happened at the university since he had been away. He wasn't really all that keen on a contrived visit to 'catch up' with his boss, but it was something he knew he couldn't put off forever and now seemed as good a day as any to stop by her office and try to catch her - maybe if he was lucky he would get squeezed in in between two of her other meetings so that there would be no risk of her talking his ear off for the entire day. Anyway, there were definitely things with which he would be able to waste his time, and really the most important thing was that Keila had to be there at school all day and so he wanted to be there as well even if he wouldn't really get to see her except for a short lunch break and maybe for a few minutes in between classes. Despite that they were running almost late, he still managed to find a parking spot in the staff lot near the front, so the walk wasn't too long and he figured she would have more than a few minutes to spare to make it to her class and get herself set up. Once parked, he grabbed his bag out of the back seat and hers as well and then crossed around to the passenger side of his car to wait to pass her her back when she got out. "You've got plenty of time. Not even late yet." He teased gently, ignoring the fact that she had been hoping to get there early... His brows furrowed gently as he waited for her to get organized before striding out to start the walk towards the building where he knew her office and her first class were. "Poor Nani. I feel really bad that I forgot all about her... You have class this afternoon too, right? Maybe I'll run by there and take her for a little walk... If you want, if you don't mind."
