He held her close to his chest and slouched back down into his chair, taking her with him so they were all cozy and comfortable - he didn't really have plans to let her go until it was absolutely totally necessary. With a small smirk, he cocked a brow and tugged gently at a strand of her hair, his tone honest but apologetic. "I love Nani... You know that... But I think maybe we should find her her own bed. In her own room. So she doesn't have to share with us." It wasn't like the king-sized bed was lacking space, it was just that having the dog in the room totally killed the mood. It was like having a toddler in the bed snoozing with them, or his mother watching television in the chair next to them. Not cool. At her question for reassurance, he smiled gently but paused a moment before responding - not because he had any doubts, but because he didn't want her to think that he was just answering on a whim, telling her what she wanted to hear without backing it up with any thinking of his own. "We're not rushing in to anything... We've been together for years. The most important thing I discovered about being away from you during our thirteen months apart was that I hated being away from you - hence why I don't want to do that any more, ever again. This is right. It's what we both want. I love you."
