A bit of a harsh dig and he probably sounded like a major jerk, but she would know he was wholeheartedly only kidding - and besides, they had gotten to know each other really only because they had been partnered up in class, and he thought that arrangement had worked out pretty well. Maybe this Tori girl would turn out to be the bestest best friend Chelle had always wanted. Maybe not. But maybe. He glared playfully at her when she stole his coffee, but as she returned it he was scooting his seat a bit closer to hers so but he could stretch an arm across the back of the chair behind her, and then he shrugged easily. "Sure, whatever. I might go over to Sav's or something. Apparently Whitney is in a re-decorating fit so he might need a beer or something..." His fingers trailed lightly over her back as he shifted back to Tori, regarding her a bit seriously for a moment before his relaxed smile returned - though something seemed a bit different about her and maybe some of Savatore's paranoia was rubbing off on him, but his curiosity was definitely piqued about this new friend. "You first-year too, Tori? I can't believe we're actually at school this summer, but Chelle just couldn't wait till September..."
