Subject: My TV watching

Besides tuning in for Agents of SHIELD, haven't watched any shows in awhile. But try to catch up on shows via Netflix. I'm up to the end of season 4 of Breaking Bad (which seemed almost like an ending to me), hope I don't get spoiled before I see all of S5.

I stopped on Dexter after season 5: heard 6 was bad, 7 was good and the 8th and final season terrible. I guess I should finish it but seems like Dexter peaked early and never topped it's first season.

Fringe I had thought was just an X-Files rip off but after it ended, I'd hard good things. They have a mythology that makes sense and answers questions I'm told. So I'm up to halfway thru season 2. Has many monster of the week episode that seem ripped off from X-Files but I love the characters especially Walter. No aliens, all science run amok. Parallel Earth & the Observers are the two big threads in seems. I've heard by S3, they give up on one shots & just play to the hard core fans.

Saw the first 2 seasons of The Walking Dead, will see S3 soon. I like it but seems a bit overrated. Zombies are really wearing out their welcome. I suppose the show is more about survival and the threat of other humans when society breaks down. One scene in S2 I got to give to them was the Southern heroes threatened by some Northern jerks. Total reversal of how a scene like that would go in years past.

For some reason, I watched the entire run of the old Bionic Woman show. Showed some of it to my daughter for some female empowerment without any questionable stuff that a modern show would have. The 70s shows seem so innocent by today's standards.

Still keeping up with Doctor Who although my enthusiasm is waning. The spin offs are done. Caught up on Sherlock, love that show. Dirk Gently was a sort of comedy detective show also from the UK and based on books by Douglas Adams. Good show.

I've been wondering about following these, tell me if I should or not:

Arrow
Sons of Anarchy
Boardwalk Empire
Elementary
The Wire
