Subject: Caelin.....Tuesday news

Hi!

Things are pretty much the same down here. Caelin is doing quite well. She and Patrick are at Cousin Karen's right now making pizza for dinner! What fun!

Caelin was supposed to get a stent (small tube in her kidney) out today, and one out tomorrow, but one fell out Friday, and the other Saturday morning! We were surprised, but had this experience when she was a newborn and I knew it wasn't bad as long as she was draining urine through her third tube. I guess the stitches dissolved a little bit sooner than Dr. G. expected. Oh well......two less things to get pulled out!

We tried to set up a "play date" with another girl....Caitlin......who also had similar surgery through the Child Life Specialist....Gina, but Caitlin didn't feel good today, and actually had to go to the ER. We are hoping she is well, and we can play another day. Of course, Cousin Karen called to save the day, so Caelin wasn't too disappointed.

We found an awesome outlet mall....it was like a dream (for the girls anyway)....hardwood floors and awesome buys for back to school. They also have a Jillian's in the mall, so everyone had a fun lunch!! The gals at the front desk here are so helpful in giving us directions to these great places (they do feel bad for Rich though!). We are going to Camden Yards Thursday afternoon for a game and the kids will get to run around the field when it is over. It is not so bad....we can actually enjoy day trips now and then.....so it isn't all doctors, all the time!

Our next appointment is Thursday morning with Dr. G. I think we are capping the Supra Pubic tube (where her urine drains now) and beginning to use her stoma to cath. Caelin is a little nervous about this, but I am sure once she gets used to the feeling, she will be fine. This will be our last big hurdle.....so say some prayers!
