I have been meaning to post for awhile-happy to see the results especially with injuries they have had to weather-it's good to see some fight out of the Griffs. Definitely had some winnable games that didn't go our way, but for the first time in awhile, I have enjoyed being interested in the games and feeling like they have a chance. Hoping they can continue to battle and grow into the conference games and compete towards the top as guys (hopefully) get better. Go Griffs!

I love the way the Griffs push the ball. Very exciting team. Taj is worrisome for me,he's back in a walking boot and I'm not seeing any progress.At least X is dressed. I'm wondering if the 2 minutes and 31 seconds Jones played will be his career Griff stats.

And what a shame that a "crowd" of only 562 fans were at the game. With essentially minimal to no student support ,and an aging loyal fan base, the numbers are not really surprising. I feel sorry for the players. A horrible look for recruiting also. And they do have a good team. If they get their injured players back, they can win the Conference.

I wish I could tell you more, but I will say it's being addressed. Student leaders, Student Affairs, and Athletics are all in alignment, and you'll start to see improvements soon.

I firmly believe that attendance will greatly improve after Super Bowl Sunday. March madness will be exciting, and hopefully the Griffs will have some success in the MAAC tournament. Current attendance isn't bad considering the lack of marketing, and the fact that the local media completely ignores Canisius athletics . Go Griffs!!!

There were over 100 students at the St. Peter's game and Robert Morris game (and the latter competing with finals prep and a large campus event). The problem is getting students sitting in the student section and being consistently loud.

Back in the AUD days, spoken about below here, students had tickets distributed out of the athletics office in the bottom level in Old Main. We sat at court level in sidelines seats. We rooted LOUDLY. We felt we contributed to the Griffs efforts. The 10K AUD seats would be packed. Today is it that they sit wherever they want because their attendance, and attendance in general, is so sparse? Only 100?

There are so many differences today in student body, undergrads numbers are lower, higher female population, many of students we do have participate in another sport which really wasn't much an issue back in the day, basketball games at Aud were a social event and greatly looked forward to totally different than today I guess, not to mention all of the other distractions students have today so it is not ever coming back to anything that we remember and long for but Canisius can still be successful in sports , with some exceptions many of the old time catholic college basketball schools are now basically like our situation in attendance and level of play.

My bad. I miscounted above. The AUD had not yet raised the roof to 10K seating. More like 8K'ish. Heck of a great time though!
